The Highlands Fire Station is a 10,000 square foot building protecting the new Highlands area at Northstar Mountain Resort. The Highlands is centered around the Big Springs Day Lodge and the new Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The theme for this design is derived from the W.P.A.-designed fire lookout towers spread across the Sierra Nevada mountains.
